“Each One Teach One”

Each one teach one is an African proverb that originated during slavery times in America when slaves were denied an education. When one slave learnt how to read or write, it became their duty to teach someone else.

Being a footwear designer who is a descendant of slaves and has an upbringing in a community that lack access, resources and education in design, it became my duty to teach someone else my learnings. Below you will find workshops I have conducted and participated in to continue my ancestor’s legacy of uplifting our community.
